Scheduled:
  Round 1: Friday 1400, 1900, Saturday 0000, 1000
  Round 2: Saturday 1400, 2000
  Round 3: Sunday 0800

It has been 150 years since the Great Civil War, when the city of Raydorak broke free from the continent spanning Empire of Westlan. The past century and a half has not been easy for the denizens of the Free City of Raydorak; the small city-state has been on the brink of destruction many times. Plague, blight, famine, earthquakes, hurricanes have all struck the ravaged city, but it has retained it's independence.

Part of the reason for the continued independence of Raydorak is the peaceful natures of the successive Dukes of Maelan, the westernmost duchy in the Empire of Westlan. The Dukes have always had border skirmishes with the Raydorak, but have made no real effort to recapture what was known as "The Western Jewel of the Empire." Duke Cygnus V of Maelan even aided smugglers in importing goods to the Empire in spite of the Imperial Decree against such action.

But now Duke Cygnus VII of Maelan has died of a wasting disease, and has left no heir. The Duchy of Maelan has gone to the Imperial Chancery and has been awarded to Duke Arlon of Paraver. Renowned for his Machiavellian nature and feared throughout the Empire, he and his Legion of Terror are preparing to recapture the Free City of Raydorak. Four groups converge from four directions to stop this threat to the peaceful City of Raydorak. They are the only hope of freedom for thousands.

This tournament features nonstandard monsters and PC races. Characters will be provided. This will be an Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, second edition tournament in three rounds for up to 32 players. The top three players from each section will advance to subsequent rounds. Considerations for advancement will include roleplaying, creative problem solving and survival.
