Warhammer 40K Tournament Scheduled: 1400 Saturday (10 hours) "There is no peace, no forgiveness, no respite. In the darkness of the fortieth millennium, there is only war." This year we continue the tradition of the PolyCon Warhammer 40,000 tournament where we battle for honor and prizes. Games Workshop will again be sponsoring the tournament this year. To participate bring a 1500 point core army and two 500 point 'swap-out' forces for tactical flexibility. Each player will participate in at least three 2000 point battles. We will be using the Warhammer Second Edition rules set this year until more army books are published to balance out all forces in Third Edition. This event is expected to last for eight hours. "Go with the blessings of the Immortal Emperor."
Warhammer Fantasy Battles Tournament This year brings you the first fully supported and endorsed PolyCon Warhammer Fantasy tournament. Battle with Skaven, Chaos, Lizardmen, and the other vast armies of the Warhammer Fantasy world. Armies will consist of 2500 point warbands with the addition of 500 point 'swap-out' forces to allow for flexibility. Army lists to be presented before tournament begins. Prizes will be awarded to the winners, courtesy of Games Workshop. This event will last up to eight hours. Painting Contest This year brings us a special change of venue for the PolyCon painting tournament. We are generously being supplied with a large force of mounted squigs from Warhammer Fantasy. This year we will hold a one hour painting event from our collection of paints and brushes with plenty of each color and shade to go around. Afterwards, Ron Matthews, an Outrider for Games Workshop will lead us through a merry chase in our first ever "Squig-hopper" race. Contestants will take their newly painted squigs for a quick race around a fantasy racetrack with wildly unpredictable results. Nothing to bring, nothing to loose. Free Squig-hoppers for all.
