PolyCon Presents The Mid Year LARP
at Cal Poly Campus on January 19th from 1pm to 7pm! The Mutant Saga Volume 1: Antarctica
After World War II, the first mutants
began appearing. Most of their
appearances were covered up by the various government agencies that ran
the world, thus keeping the non-mutants mostly in the dark. Each country
developed their own mutant research programs and in some cases, special
military task teams made up of mutants and their non mutant handlers. By
the early fifties the few mutants that have been discovered were relegated
to either scientific experiments, military slaves, or rogue elements. Then
in 1954 several of the world's mutants mysteriously over night
disappeared. And found themselves alone in Antarctica.
The Mid Year LARP is Game Mastered by Joe
Parzanese and David
Oberholzer.
Both GMs have years of experience writing, running, and organizing Live
Action Role Playing Games.
This is the fifth time Joe Parzanese has
organized PolyCon's Mid Year
LARP
and he has successfully run about two dozen LARPs up and down the coast of
California. One of his LARPs was even run by a former player in the
country
of South Africa.
David Oberholzer has been organizing
Kublacon's Live Action Events
since
the
convention first began and has made the LARP community at the Kublacon
convention one of the largest on the West Coast, offering a diverse array
of
different LARPs year in and year out. Joe Parzanese has been assisting him
with LARP events at Kublacon for the past three years.
The Mutant Saga weaves an intricate tale
of an alternate world where
mutants
really do exist. If you wish to play or simply have more questions please
email (joe at polycon dot org) to sign up or for more information. Players
are
highly
encouraged to reserve a spot in this game by emailing ahead of time as it
is
limited to only 30 spots.
This game will occur on Cal Poly campus,
Building 8 in San Luis Obispo.
It will aso be rerun Saturday (February 16th) night of Dundracon in San
Ramon.
