Dan George cut his teeth in the gaming world back in the 80's where he
spent endless nights with his buddies playing role playing and strategy
games. Soon, like many gamers, he began making 'improvements' to the games
he played, often combining the best elements of two or more games.
In 1990 Dan founded Arcatacon, the largest gaming convention in northern
California at that time. He held the event at Humboldt State and
attracted over 800 attendees each year.
Dan founded August Games in 1992 during the birth of the internet where he
published Bloodthirsty Capitalist Backstabbing Hogs for free on the web.
Dan saw it as the perfect opportunity to promote non-electronic gaming and
hook up with fellow gamers. August Games is dedicated to the production
of fun, well-designed games. His current projects are Road-Kill Rally
(soon to be released in June by Z-Man Games!), Order Up (Z-Man Games),
War of Sail, Dungeon Zombie Brawl and Bloodthirsty Capital Backstabbing
Hogs II.
Dan is a resident of Santa Maria, California where he lives with his
wife and two kids.
