PolyCon XXX       This year we are proud to invite you to PolyCon XXX taking place at Cal Poly State University's University Union in San Luis Obispo, CA on June 22nd through June 24th, 2012!. This year we bring you our Thirtieth Anniversary!! and are proud to present our theme of Islands of PolyCon!       As usual you will have our excellent three round D&D tournament, our War Hammer Fantasy and 40K tournaments, and our Warmachine Tournament. Our complementary Saturday BBQ is still on the menu to satisfy your hunger cravings. RPGA will once again be back with modules as will Magic: the Gathering tournaments. And to no one's surprise, our gaming pit will be stacked with board and card games!       How can I help out and join in on the celebration? you ask. Well as usual, we still need more games, more events, more dealers, and more staff than ever before. We'd love to have you attend. We'd love to hear your ideas for this year's convention. Convention Hours and Location Dates for PolyCon XXX will take place from Friday, June 22nd, 2012 through June 24th, 2012. It will be held in the Cal Poly State University's University Union in San Luis Obispo, CA. The convention will start at noon on Friday and run all the way until 5:00 PM on Sunday.       Registration is $35 at the door. Pre-registration is $30 and available until June 1st. One day passes will be available for $20, $10 on Sunday. Preregister for $30! Game Sign Ups PolyCon uses sign up sheets in order to determine who gets into what game. Sign ups are done on a first come, first served basis. To be fair, Sign Up Sheets for PolyCon Events will be placed out at four times every day according to the following schedule: 0800 - Sign up sheets for games starting from 1200 to 1500 1200 - Sign up sheets for games starting from 1600 to 1900 1600 - Sign up sheets for games starting from 2000 to 2300 2000 - Sign up sheets for games starting from 0000 to 1100 Special Guests This year, PolyCon is proud to have in attendance special guests: Shane Hensley creator of Deadlands and Savage Worlds Tom Jolly creator of Wiz War, Drakon, Camelot, Cave Troll, Cargo, Disk Wars, Maelstrom, and many other games Come play games with Shane and Tom! PolyCon Independent Game Design Prize In order to foster the development of independent games, PolyCon created the PolyCon Independent Game Design Prize (or PolyPrize). The PolyPrize awards a grand to assist in further development and publication of the winning game, and provides all participants with feedback on the game's design.
